31 Days of Flashbacks: Uncle Bernie's Visit

At the beginning of the summer Glenn's Uncle Bernie contacted me to let us know that he was going to be getting on a sail boat in Toronto and was going to be sailing across Lake Ontario and be in a marina in Oswego for a few days. He thought we might be able to meet up for a sail with him. In early August plans changed somehow and instead he got off the boat in Oswego and came to our house to hang out for a few days. It was so much fun having him around and getting a chance to hear about the many adventures he has had traveling all over the world.

The kids really enjoyed getting to know Uncle Bernie a bit better (they called him "Grandpa" on accident many times because he does look a bit like Grandpa, you can tell they're brothers ;)

Even though he stayed at our house for a few days making plans to visit Boston and Washington D.C. before heading to get on another sailboat in Michigan the only pictures we took during his time here were at this picnic at Lewis County Fairgrounds.

Uncle Bernie won't get to see this blog anytime soon as he is currently on a sailboat heading to Hawaii and then on to Fiji.  So Happy Trails Sails, Uncle Bernie! Thanks for visiting!
